We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Warehouse to oversee daily warehouse operations, manage inventory, supervise warehouse personnel, and ensure efficient storage and distribution of goods. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of warehouse management practices, and experience in inventory control, logistics, and team coordination. Experience in the automotive spare parts industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure productivity, discipline, and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, logistics, and finance departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare warehouse performance reports and maintain operational documentation.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Assist in implementing warehouse process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage or loss.
- Support management in achieving departmental KPIs and operational targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
- Experience in the automotive spare parts industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
